2021 Rookie Draft
Welcome the 2021 League of Nerds Rookie Draft The following table shows those players who
1. Do you plan on returning to the league for the 2015 season?
*In order to proceed in our off-season it is helpful to have a count of those owners who will or will not be returning.*
**Yes - 11** **No - 1**
2. If it were possible would you care to change the website of our league?
*This season was a perfect example of why a website change may be best for our league. The IR debacle would have been a non-issue with the other fantasy site as this setting is readily available. Other issues that would be taken care of would be things like an inability to set a roster for that week if a player is injured or on a bye. It also allows for the conference and divisions to be set up the way it was meant to be set up. The only cons would be a slight increase in dues to cover the cost of the site and there is no current clarity if the site would support an online auction draft, nor does it have a mobile app that I know of.*
**Yes - 5** **No - 6**
3. Do we need to reexamine our league's budget system?
*Each season there have been rising budgets, the question has come to me of whether or not that all teams should start with the same budget from season to season or some other form of budget reform. This could include a cap on the amount of roll over dollars etc.*
**Yes - 4 No - 7**
4. Should the league move to an auction bidding waiver system?
*Currently our waivers are set in reverse order of the standings. The original thought was the teams that were lowest on the list were those in need of the most help. More leagues have begun to move to auction bidding for their waiver system. This works by having teams place claims as they normally would but they bid how much of a set in-season waiver budget they are willing to pay for that player. Is there interest in keeping our current waiver system or moving to an auction bidding waiver system?*
**Move to an Auction Bidding System - 3 Keep the Current System - 8**
5. Should the league format be changed?
*The question here is if we should move to another league format. My current ideas would be two conferences, three divisions, or remaining the same. Any change will obviously change our playoff format which if we went away from what we have now I would need to think about how to handle.*
**Keep the Current System - 8 Only Two Conferences - 3 Only Three Conferences - 0**
6. Do we need to reform the current rules surrounding keepers?
*In the current format teams would be able to keep up to 7 players: 3 non-rookie rights players, 2 first year rookie rights players, and 2 second year rookie rights players. This has created a pseudo-dynasty league. Do you think that we need a change in these rules?*
**Yes - 2 No - 9**
